Island hockey player plays fiddle in locker room, goes viral

It’s pretty common place to hear some pre-games jams pumping out of hockey locker rooms.  Now typically, it’s some form of pop music be it hip hop, EDM or even rock.  But that wasn’t the case for PEI’s Western Wind Midget AAA team.  Being the good Islanders that they are, the woman wanted to hear some east coast jams and one of their teammates obliged.  16 yearold Tianna Gallant brought her fiddle on the road and gave her team a little pre-game pump up in Pictou recently.

The team’s coach captured the moment on video and put it on twitter where it caught like wild fire.  Not only did the official Instagram account of Hockey Canada share the video but so to did the official NHL social media accounts.  In total, it’s believed the video has been viewed over 300,000 times!
