Morgan Wallen is a young rising star in country music and was getting set to hit a career milestone this weekend by being the musical guest on SNL.  Unfortunately, that milestone won’t be happening this weekend.  TikTok videos went viral this week of Wallen at an Alabama party; taking shots, kissing random women and hanging out the backseat of a stranger’s car.  Now in any other year, this would be passed off as a young musician simply enjoying his fame.  But in 2020, it’s viewed as a dangerous act of not following COVID protocols.

So naturally, when TMZ reported the story, it became a thing.  Such a thing in fact, that SNL has decided to pull the plug on Wallen’s appearance.  In an Instagram video, Wallen apologized for his actions, admitting that he has “some growing up to do” and even saying “I tried to find joy in the wrong places and it’s left me with less joy.”
