PEI gas prices go up 5.2 cents per litre

The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum prices effective 12:01 a.m., Friday, May 22, 2020:

The price of gasoline will increase by 5.2 cents per litre (cpl)

The price of furnace oil will increase by 4.8 cpl;

The price of diesel will increase by 5.2 cpl; and

Propane prices will increase:

1.5 cpl for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing,

1.4 cpl for Superior Propane

1.3 cpl for Island Petroleum

2.6 cpl for both Kenmac Energy Inc. and Noonan Petroleum.

 

New Prices

At self-serve outlets, regular unleaded gasoline will range from 90.7 to 91.9 cpl

diesel will range from 90.2 to 91.3 cpl.

The maximum price for furnace oil is 60.7 cpl.

Maximum prices for propane will range from 74.5 to 75.7 cpl.

The Commission’s next scheduled price adjustment is May 29, 2020.
