PEI gas prices stay the same
Since IRAC has gone to weekly fuel adjustments to combat oil pricing instability we haven’t seen those large fluctuations materialize. Prices at the pumps have been very stable over the last few weeks and that trend continues with no change this week in either gas or diesel.
The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum prices effective 12:01 a.m., Friday, October 25, 2019:
- There will be no change in the price of gasoline or diesel;
- Furnace oil prices will increase by 1.0 cents per litre (cpl); and
- Propane prices will increase by 0.4 cpl for Superior Propane; by 1.7 cpl for both Kenmac Energy Inc. and Noonan Petroleum; by 0.3 cpl for Island Petroleum, and by 1.2 cpl for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing.
Including taxes, the maximum price for furnace oil is now 100.5 cpl.
Maximum before tax propane prices will now range from 71.5 to 73.5 cpl.
The Commission’s next scheduled price adjustment is November 1, 2019.
