According to Vote.org, after sharing her political opinions for the first time publicly, Taylor Swift inspired over 50,000 new voter registrations within 24 hours. However, it could be argued that not everyone was inspired by her opinion. Least of all, America’s president.
Swift, who has long been neutral on politics made an impassioned Instagram post this week.

While voicing here displeasure for Republican Marsha Blackburn, she made her opinions clear on multiple issues writing “I believe in the fight for LGBTQ rights, and that any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender is WRONG. I believe that the systemic racism we still see in this country towards people of color is terrifying, sickening and prevalent. ”
Swift went on to say that she’ll be voting for Democrats and went as far as to urge her fans to do the same.
Of course, not everybody was impressed with Swift’s new found political voice. American President Donald Trump said he likes her music “25% less” as a result.
