The ‘Eric MacEwen’ radio show is heard each Saturday evening from 9-12, and features a magical blend of traditional and contemporary music of Canada’s East Coast. It has a ‘theatre-of-the mind’ presence, coming to you from a home along the shore, where there’s always a welcome mat at the door, and where there’s always room for one more. So come right in, there are no strangers here, only friends you’ve yet to meet, and jeepers creepers, we’ve even managed to save you a seat!
As well, all the sponsors on the show are local companies and services which only add to the ambiance of the evening. Eric’s producer is Darcy Campbell of Q93 fame, and, a guy you don’t meet every day. Check out our show, you’ll feel right at home on the Island.
Eric Mac Ewen was brought up in the fishing village of North Rustico, one of the friendliest villages on the planet. It is noted for its hospitality, far and wide, for it features some of the Island’s finest restaurants in the summertime and is a major destination for many, being next door to Cavendish. Eric developed a liking for the entertainment industry early on. He would eventually pursue courses of study in this regard at Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland/Labrador, and in Boston, Massachusetts. He also began his radio career in both cities and eventually all throughout the East Coast. He heard the local music being made and loved it. He is a founding father of the East Coast Music Awards, and has syndicated his radio show of East Coast Music, all over North America throughout the years.
