SUMMARY:Santa Claus Comes to Town Tour Schedule
DESCRIPTION:This roving convoy will feature a Charlottetown Police vehicle\, Charlottetown Fire truck\, everyone’s favourite dog – Charlie Town\, and of course Santa himself! Detailed route maps are available at the link listed below and spectators are encouraged to welcome Santa to the city from their residence (where possible). \nThe Santa Tour schedule is as follows: \n\nMonday\, November 30 – Sherwood-Parkdale (East of St. Peter’s Road) and 500 Lots (South of Euston Street);\nTuesday\, December 1 – Sherwood-Parkdale (Between Mount Edward and Brackley Point Roads) and City Centre (North of Euston Street\, East of Spring Park Road\, and South of Kirkwood Drive-Allen Street);\nWednesday\, December 2 – City Centre (North of Brighton Road-Euston Street\, West of University Avenue\, South of Capital Drive);\nThursday\, December 3 – East Royalty\, Hillsborough Park\, and Sherwood-Parkdale (Between Brackley Point and St. Peter’s Roads);\nFriday\, December 4 – Winsloe and West Royalty.\n\n  \nNeighbourhood tours will begin at 5:30 p.m. nightly and it is anticipated each tour will take approximately 90 mins to 2 hours to complete. Detailed route maps are available at available at www.charlottetown.ca/santatours \nIn lieu of Canada Post collecting letters to Santa along the route\, children are invited to visit the North Pole Post Office located in Center Court at the Confederation Court Mall between November 23 through December 6 (during mall hours) to drop off their letter to Santa. Non-perishable food donations\, in support of the Upper Room Hospitality Ministry Food Bank\, will also be collected at the Confederation Court Mall between November 23 – December 13; collection bins are located on the main level across from Grand Senses Spa. \n

SUMMARY:Charlottetown Annual Jingle Bell Walk
DESCRIPTION:The City of Charlottetown’s Parks and Recreation Department will host the 25th annual Jingle Bell Walk on Friday\, December 4. \n  \nThe Jingle Bell Walk will look a bit different this year. Families are invited to partake in a self-guided walk between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Beach Grove Routes for Nature and Health Trail (200 Beach Grove Rd). \n  \nIn partnership with the PEI Library\, the City of Charlottetown will be launching its first StoryWalk at the Jingle Bell Walk. The featured story will be “Snowmen at Night” by Caralyn Buehner. The StoryWalk will remain at the Beach Grove Nature Trails for the month of December. \n  \nHot chocolate will be served during the event and a limited number of holiday themed paint your own cookies for children will be available as a take home activity. \n  \nEveryone is encouraged to bring a flashlight to light the trail and a bell for some holiday jingle. Look for the decorated Parks and Recreation truck! DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nAnnual Christmas In The Villages Event will be held on Friday\, December 4th\, 2020 from 7PM to 9PM and Saturday\, December 5th\, 2020 from 9AM to 3PM. \nThis annual event will showcase a wide variety of creations and product of local artisans\, farmers and community organizations at venues in the area. \nBe sure to check out the FACEBOOK page in the days leading up to event for updates about this year’s participants. Be sure to include your mask as all venues are MASKED! \nA bonus is the Fishermen’s Christmas Tree is being lit at 5:30PM on December 4th at the Murray Harbour Wharf!\n\n\n\n
