SUMMARY:Energy Efficiency Sessions for Homeowners Series (FREE OF CHARGE)
DESCRIPTION:The Canadian Home Builders’ Association of PEI (CHBA-PEI) has launched the fall/winter schedule for its Energy Efficiency Sessions for Homeowners Series. \nThe series is designed to help homeowners improve the energy efficiency of their homes. The sessions are free\, and the series includes both in-person and virtual options to ensure the training is accessible to all Islanders. \nCHBA-PEI partnered with its New Brunswick counterpart on the project to have CHBA-NB Energy Efficiency Manager Lauren Lipka lead the training sessions. Lipka is a certified energy advisor who specializes in energy efficiency consultations\, air tightness testing\, and developing efficiency housing strategies. \nCHBA-PEI\, with support from the PEI Government through the Climate Challenge Fund\, is hosting sessions in communities across the Island over the next two years. The series will be broken out into 12 topics\, including: \n■ National Building Code Section 9.36 \n■ All Things Foundation \n■ Building Envelope Barrier System and Insulation \n■ Energy Efficiency of Window and Doors\, Sealing\, and Condensation \n■ Heating\, Ventilation\, and House Depressurization \n■ Air Sealing and Reducing Leaks \n■ Renewable Energy (PV\, Solar\, Thermal and Energy Storage) \n■ Funding Programs and Grants 101 (information on available Provincial and Federal funding for Efficient Retrofits\, upgrades and new builds) \n■ Living in an Apartment — 10 things you can do to save on your energy bill \n■ Radon Gas — what you should know! \n■ Electronic Vehicles — Preparing for your EV purchase \n■ Terminology — Understanding Construction Lingo \nEach session will be approximately two hours and repeated throughout the year to ensure participants have the opportunity to take part in as many sessions as they wish. Participants can choose to take part in all 12 sessions or pick and choose which ones they feel are most beneficial. DESCRIPTION:🚨🚨2022/2023 CURLING REGISTRATION🚨🚨 \nRegistration for the 2022/2023 curling season will be happening THIS WEEK! \nMemberships can be paid IN PERSON at the club on the following dates: \nWednesday October 26 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM\, Thursday October 27 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM\, Friday October 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. \nCOME OUT AND GET REGISTERED FOR 2022/23!🥌🥌 \nNew this year we have new membership options and more days of the week available. \nCouple Memberships – A full membership for each person. \nDaytime Membership – Can curl in the daytime leagues. \nJr Competitive – Junior teams that can play in one league and have practices Jr After school – An after-school program that will run Monday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm \nDraws will be the following days: \nMonday and Wednesday starting at 6:30 and Thursday we will have an “8 end league”. Daytime leagues will run Tuesday and Thursday mornings! \nTentative start date will be November 14\, IF registrations are NOT PAID IN FULL it could DELAY our season!
