SEA’s 3rd Annual Winter Frolic Fundraiser

The Harvey Moore Wildlife Sanctuary will be the setting for Southeast Environmental Association’s 3rd Annual Winter Frolic Fundraiser taking place on Saturday, February 16th, 11am-2pm.
The family-fun event is hoping to draw a big crowd and will include:
• Beautiful Belgian, horse-drawn sleigh rides, by MacLeod’s Sleigh Rides,
• An opportunity to try out snowshoeing with equipment provided by Eastern Region Sport & Recreation Council
• A chance to try your hand at axe throwing with Axes, Eh?, and
• To check out a winter survival and shelter building demonstration by the great students of Holland College Wildlife Conservation Technology
• Tree tapping and maple syrup taffy making – Mmmmmmm
• Bonfire to cook s’mores and hotdogs
Additional activities include:
• Artisans on Main member demos in a heated tent
• Kid’s Games and Krafting Korner
• Photo booth with nature arch and backdrop
• Guided nature tours and bird watching with spotting scopes
• Learning how to identify animal tracks in the snow
• An ‘Animals of PEI’ display hosted by Fish and Wildlife PEI
• A story walk with Montague Rotary Library
• The chance to win in a 50/50 draw
• and much more!
Chili, hotdogs, s’mores, hot apple cider, and hot chocolate will all be available for purchase.
Admission: Adult – $12, Under 12 – $7, and Family – $35 (4 max) each additional family member $5.
