The Friends of the Confederation Centre Public Library would like to extend an invitation to Music For A Winter’s Afternoon which is happening on Sunday, November 25 at 1:30 p.m. Spend an hour listening to the talented Mary MacGillivray and Cian O'Morain perform songs while sampling the refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library. Open Mic Night Thursday, November 29 at 7:00 p.m. Confederation Centre Public Library Singers, musicians and poets are invited to share their talents at this open mic for adults and teens. Register at the Circulation Desk from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, December 7, 2018, at 7:30 pm, the annual Sorensen Family Christmas Concert, “The Shepherds Were the First to Hear”, will be held at the South Shore United Church, #85 Route 10 in Tryon. Lunch and a time for Christmas socializing will take place after the concert. Admission is a freewill offering in support of the Church Building Fund. For more information please call 902-658-2009.

Host Colleen MacPhee will be welcoming multi instrumentalist, the talented Keelin Wedge who can keep your toes a-tapped with her fancy guitar picking and fiddle playing.    With the amazing vocals of Keelin Wedge and Colleen MacPhee,  who stars  as  Rita MacNeil in Lady Singers Of Our Century,   they will  be singing some of your favourite songs from a variety of  artists.
